Skill Levels

Every The Spanish Knitter pattern carries a skill level so you can see at a glance whether a project suits you. The level is keyed to the technique, not the construction — seamless top-down pieces are beginner-friendly and sit at Intermediate.

●○○○ Beginner — Knit & purl and follow simple written instructions; basic texture (seed / garter stitch) and simple colour changes. Perfect for first projects.

●●○○ Intermediate — Increases & decreases, simple lace, working in the round, and seamless top-down / raglan construction — most baby garments and patterned blankets.

●●●○ Advanced — Cables, complex or charted lace, and seamed / structured construction such as set-in sleeves.

●●●● Expert — Intricate non-repeating lace, colourwork (jacquard) and reading charts throughout.
